For more than 70 years, the Pound Ridge Garden Club has been home to generations of horticulture and floral design enthusiasts. In addition to learning together about gardening technique and flower arranging, we collaborate on a wide range of civic projects to preserve and enhance the natural beauty and neighborly spirit of Pound Ridge.
We are always happy to welcome new members at any level of experience, whether you have extensive knowledge of horticulture and Floral design or little or no knowledge at all. The club is a place to share ideas and information, learn from our many accomplished and talented speakers, and develop your skills as a gardener and designer. |

Mailbox Decorating Contest
Our 2025 mailbox Contest is now over and the winner of the of the adult category, who has won the $50 gift certificate to the Market in Pound Ridge Square, is Katrina Majkut. Her entry, entitled "Halo of Hope" was created to honor her Ukrainian heritage. It drew inspiration from a traditional Ukrainian floral headdress called a "Vinok" and consists of an invasive vine wreath decorated with braided grass and holly branches, all found on her property here in Pound Ridge. It was made with the hope that there will soon be an end to the war between the Ukraine and Russia and that the Ukraine will be able to maintain its sovereignty and cultural identity.
The other four entries this year were also in the adult category. However, they were all quite varied in both theme and design. Therefore, the awards committee decided to award all of them second place awards of $15 to the market. They are pictured below. The photos can be enlarged by clicking on them.
