Speaker: Yuko Naughton: Floral Designer and club member
Yuko graduated summa cum laude with a 4.0 GPA in Computer Science from the University of Maryland. After a rewarding career in IT, she took a leap of faith and began studying floral design at the New York Botanical Garden. While still in school, she started booking upscale events and has since been fortunate to work on major events and flower shows, including the Macy’s Flower Show, Governor’s dinners, and events involving vice presidents, members of Congress, and various figures from the entertainment industry. In addition, she design floral arrangements for private residences throughout the tri-state area.
Directions: High Ridge Road to Brookdale Road (Coptic church on corner). Continue on Brookdale until you see a sign and entrance for Bartlett on the right.
Parking: Long driveway - when you reach the tree with signs on it - general parking is to the right - for those who can hike a distance. For those who need to be closer - at the tree - go left. There are 5 spots across from the Silver Edu. Center plus a smaller space with painted lines perfect for a mini! Past the grey building is staff parking and just past that are two disability spots which are closer than general parking but still a hike. If you miss a spot - you'll have to exit and loop around (to the left) and then reenter.

Go to the end. At stop sign - take a left onto OLD Long Ridge Road. Firehouse is less than a 1/2 mile on the right. Driveway to lot is before the firehouse and steps leading down is just on the far side of the firehouse.
Parking: The meeting is down below and in the back. There is a driveway and small parking lot and that's advisable for those who have difficulty walking. I will count the spots but car pooling might be recommended. There are additional spots on the street level - you would have to walk down steps to get to the meeting room.

Speaker: Leslie Needham
Leslie is a gardener, landscape designer, writer and lecturer who has taught at the New York Botanical Garden. She loves nothing more than discovering the magic and historic beauty of land and has a strong focus on sustainable design. Her work has been featured in media outlets, including, Martha Stewart Living, The New York Times, Gardenista, and she has been a guest on Margaret Roach's podcast "A Way to Garden as well as a presenter on her "Virtual Gaede3n Club". Most recently, her home landscape, River Hills, was selected into the Smithsonian Institution's Archives of American Gardens. She is the owner of Leslie Needham Design, a landscape design firm based in Bedford, NY.
